Forged, Laminated and heat-treated by Bryan Raquin from France Auvergne region, with 145SC steel laminated with XC10 cladding with lots of banding (clouds) that you also see on Shigefusa knives, very difficult to capture on photo.
Then it is grinder and finished with natural stones in house at JNS, choil and spine is rounded and polished, finished with Uchigumori fingerstones (included with the knife)
Made from 145SC Ultra pure carbon steel SC stands for Super Clean.
At Lohmann in Germany Less then one ton was ever made of this steel from a brand new steel furnace thats how they could achieve the purity of the steel
