I have bought some very very good quality of Gabon Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) from Germany with tight grain and send it to Japan Sanjo so they could make some special Wa handles for me as it is very hard to get that kind of Ebony in Japan
Usually some sell ebony wa handles , but in fact they are African Blackwood or other cheaper woods
Fit nice for 240mm 270mm knives but can also be cut down to smaller size to fit 180 and 210mm knives
