Yamahiro Oiire Nomi 42mm

Very skild blacksmith, 85 years old Okazaki Takeshi from Sanjo. He making chisels mostly from White steel.
As he do not have any to fallow his work , these will be the last chisels from his generation !
Wile we visit him in Japan i ordered some more chisels from him as i have seen incredible work !!! you can see it here

He still uses very old type hand blowing with charcoal quenching oven and quenches his chisels only in water. Only one blacksmith in Sanjo that still uses this old method

made of white 1 steel, it is what he do best !

They come already quite sharp, but i recommend to make little micro bevel for our western type of woods
