Lines are not toxic and do not scratch the knifes soft steel, Creates super cool hazy finish
Lines can be field a bit but not to much thats why the low price !
They do not however what so ever affect finish, and you can not feel them when you sharpen knife on hard steel only
Super easy stone to use ! And very rare one as softer Ozukus do not come often
