Munetoshi Honyaki Gyuto 240mm Special 3
Special with Octagonal handle Polished and Etched
Another Great Blacksmith from Sanjo, Niigata
Third Generation Munetoshi is all made by 67 years old Kouiti Turumaki.
He have learned everything from his father and have been blacksmith for 52 years
He is specialized in white steel and making primarily Axes, Nata and heavy duty blades
This is his very unique Honyaki blades made from white 2 steel.
As always fit and finish is not his strong side so they come quite rough for Honyaki blades
Very hefty blade with thick spine and grind, but can get super sharp and amazing cutter overall
His Hamon "temper line" is also very different then usual you see in Japan, but super beautiful when you polish it and every knife is with own unique one !!
We have decided to Put Kanji on the Tang on this one as i know many ussers will love to polish the blade and it is much better that Kanji stay in tact :)
